UPDATED - Insider Scoop: Get an Early Look at This Year's Homecoming!

Latest from the Student Council Meeting

UPDATE ON BOTTOM - Today, the first Student Council Meeting was held, and, being the main focus of the Council at the time, we talked at length about Homecoming. Dive in to learn about the dress-up days that were chosen as well as what they are, and get the Schedule for Homecoming Week dress-up days. Hopefully I'll find out sooner or later what the games will be, but for now, here's what I've got.

So, as we started the meeting (and bear in mind I was quite late), we voted on Council Officers. We proceeded on to a discussion about homecoming week, and many ideas were put forth about dress-up ideas. Superhero Day and Grease/50's Day were two interesting ideas, but the three most popular were (Fall) Sports Day, Camo Day, and Clash Day. They are also accompanied by the annual Color Day, and Spirit Day

As many of you know, on Color Day, each grade wears a color, which are all chosen by the Senior class. Typically, the Seniors take a relatively easy color, and give much more difficult ones to the rest of the school.
Color Day  - Sr's: Black Jr's: Maroon (There can be some variance here, I'm told.)
Soph: Purple Fr: Yellow.(There was a strong emphasis on making sure it was NOT highlighter yellow.)

For  Sports Day, each grade has an individual sport, and upper-classmen pick before the under-classmen.
Sr's: Football, Jr's: Soccer, Soph: Volleyball, Fr: Cross-Country. Also, there will be a bit of lenience here, and the sports did have to be Fall sports, so don't get mad at Andrew for picking Cross-Country.

Camo Day is pretty self-explanatory, any camouflage will do. Clash Day  is much the same, wear clothes that just don't work together.  Spirit Day, well, just put on that Belleville Gear and meet us at the football game.

I might have gotten a little excited with the colors. Here's your schedule for the week. NOTE: Subject to change, but probably won't.

How was the vote taken?

Each member of Council got three votes, which had to be used on three DIFFERENT options. Then each option was read, and the Council voted if they wanted to, and moved on. The top three options were those with the highest votes. Color Day and Spirit Day were default options and weren't voted upon.
